It was one of those interviews you dream about. When you get to interview people you think are cool, people you admire, and people you hope will be a laugh and a half when you do get right to it. Of course, it was also always going to be a scary interview. Would they show up? One is a self-confessed late riser, the other is… well, she is Asa! I mean, I had never interviewed her before. But grapevine-wise, I had also not heard anything about cancelled interviews or no shows. So knock on wood, I prayed about it, and let tomorrow come!

The Mixtape Features acts like Sasha, Ikechukwu, Alaye, Naeto C, Jazzman Olofin, eLDee, DBanj, Don Jazzy, olaDELe and many more Nigerian artists.

Zuby is an anomaly in hip hop. As proficient on stage as he is the classroom, the Oxford graduate certainly doesn’t fit into the ‘generic rapper’ category.

Zuby’s captivating flow, thought-provoking social commentary and powerful stage presence quickly cast aside any doubts about his ability. Cashino is a Nigerian act based in London, UK but 
still very much in touch with the local music scene (like JJC and May7even). Cashino’s 
accomplishment cuts across a 2009 NMVA nomination for his video for 
’No Future’ to a recent street video called ‘All I Got’ featuring the 
Legendary Parrish ‘PMD’ Smith of EPMD to be featured on PMD’s album 
due for release in March 2010. From collaborating on several 
occassions with Modenine on tracks like ‘Underground’ on Modenine’s 
Pentium IX mixtape, most recent titled ‘Number one’ and B Elect of The 
Thoroughbred fame, the heavyweight rap artiste is working on an album 
- Strong Tower.
