Upcoming Art Exhibition: THRASH-ING

THRASH-ING: An art exhibition by Osahenye Kainebi is to open by 3pm Saturday 12th September and end on Saturday 10th, October 2009. The venue is CCA Lagos (Center for Contemporary Art, Sabo Lagos.)

Osahenye Kainebi is one of the leading contemporary Nigerian artists. His work evokes emotional intensity and conviction, regardless of the theme, political, socio-cultural or abstract explorations. An essentially figurative painter, one senses a constant quest in his work for freedom of expression- without boundaries. His works evoke vibrant colours, and his controlled brush strokes alludes to the energy, passion, vision, and sometimes, anger that seemingly want to bust out of the canvas.
